I'm a retired educator (teacher/principal) who moved from Northern California to Payson, Arizona in September, 2010.
This blog will chronicle my adventures as I explore a different ecosystem and build my new home.

Friday Update

This huge trailer of Matt's is full! The painters took down their masking plastic and there is just a lot of garbage on a building site.

Randy helped open tile boxes and stack the tile in the downstairs' rooms for Darren. We had 3600 pounds of tile in 67 boxes. Luckily we got it from our local Home Depot store.

Darren was hard at work today. He started in my office and moved on down the hall and into the guest bedrooms.

Chuck, the painter, is finished with the inside of the house. He painted the baseboards and let them dry on the concrete in front of the garage. He will come back and do touch up work once the plumber and electrician have finished their work and the bamboo floor is down.

He painted the front door today......love that Cherry Bomb red. It's a "happy" red.

Tile and plumbing work will happen tomorrow even though it's Saturday. We also hope that Cort comes to finish the stone work on the front pillars and the greenhouse wall.
