Stairs

Matt, the builder, is working on the stairs......lots of measuring and sawing.

He rechecks his measurements many times.....

This is the stair well before the stair installation.

Pat measures and measures again.........

Lots of teamwork here........stairs are tricky.

Done.....stairs with a landing. Now we don't have to walk outside to get to the downstairs!

  1. Jeannie, these photos are just terrific! What a wonderful way to keep record and keep us all in the loop of your exciting project. It looks like everything is moving right along. Are you creating some special sunny spot cat perches? When my mom built her home in NM several years ago, she actually put in a catwalk above with ramps and holes for her kitties - this was not in the main house but in a funky office near the barn. Fun things you can do when you're building!

Enjoy, enjoy, and know we are all out here watching, from Marinwood with love! Julia and Catherine send so much love and miss you bunches.
    cheers, Rachel Stengel

  3. Hi, Rachel and Julia and Catherine,
I am so glad you are reading the blog. I miss you all but we sure are having fun with this house project AND the new puppy.
The cats are tolerating the pup. Buster wants to sleep in his new comfy bed. The pup keeps stealing the cats' bed off of the chair. He puts it in his crate for safe keeping.
