October 1st Update

The house plans have finally arrived from the architect and structural engineer........all 25 pages of them! There is so much detail in these drawings......much more than we need for the Payson planning/building department. We actually don't want to be held accountable via inspections for these detail-specfic plans so we paid a visit to a draftsman yesterday who is going to create a set of simplified plans to be sent to the building department. We could have started with a draftsman (and saved a bit of money) but we were worried about addressing all of the design issues that our lot seem to pose. It's a challenging piece of property but it has character!

This is how the cats spend a bit of their day....each with his own camp chair. Buster has decided to take up golf. The public golf course is just half a block away and he likes to hunt for things on the course as well as "people watch". He sits at the hole and watches the world go by. He does have to cross a street to get there which makes me nervous, but let's hope he looks both ways.

A big black cat has decided to invade the our yard. Bandito got into a fight with him. Randy had to break it up and run the black cat off, but he showed up again early this morning. We'll see what happens in the future.....

We walk at Green Valley Park often and there is one duck that stands out from the rest. He is in the middle of this picture. He has a plumb or top knot and his front is white with black speckles (almost like a dalmatian dog). He is bigger than the mallards. I cannot find him in the bird book....any ideas on what kind of duck he is? One of the friends we walk with has named him Sangha after the American Idol contestant. (It's a hair thing.)
